Raymond James Raises $50,000 for the Free The Children, Adopt a Village Program
Paul Allison, Chairman and CEO and Terry Hetherington, EVP, Private Client Group present Craig Kielburger, CEO of Free the Children, with a cheque for $50,000.
For the second consecutive year at our National Business Conference, Raymond James colleagues enthusiastically bid on silent auction items at the opening reception. This year's auction was the most successful to date, raising just shy of $25,000 in support of Free The Children.
Delegates bid with purpose to raise awareness for Free The Children, an international charity and educational partner, which believes in a world where all young people should be free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change. Our silent auction goal was to raise funds in support of the Free The Children Adopt a Village program which empowers developing communities to break free from poverty through the establishment of a sustainable economic model. With a dollar for dollar match from the Raymond James Canada Foundation, Paul Allison, Chairman and CEO and Terry Hetherington, EVP, Private Client Group presented keynote speaker Craig Kielburger, CEO of Free the Children, with a cheque for $50,000 to support the Adopt a Village program in the village of Kalthana, India.
