Eric is the lead manager of the KUEHNEL portfolios available exclusively through the Private Investment Management Group of Raymond James Ltd. He has over 20 years of experience in the investment field and uses a multi-disciplinary approach in managing the portfolios. He specializes in tax-efficient, conservative, income and balanced growth portfolios. For his clients, this approach has helped generate good returns with lower volatility.

Eric meets the most exacting standards for industry experience and advanced education, and has solid endorsements from his peers and superiors. He also holds CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) accreditation, the CFP (Certified Financial Planner), and is a fully licensed discretionary portfolio manager.

Well experienced in the art of public speaking, Eric regularly provides public educational seminars on relevant investment topics.

Making his home on Vancouver Island with his wife and children, Eric has served on various boards and leadership teams including his past roles as Director of the Vancouver Island Symphony and Director of the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce.

Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) Designation

The Chartered Investment Manager (CIM^®) Designation builds the skills and experience we need to serve a more sophisticated financial client or institution. Financial professionals who hold the CIM designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements. A CIM identifies clients' objectives and constraints; develops appropriate investment policies and strategies, taking into consideration market and economic conditions; and evaluates investment products that represent both traditional and alternative asset classes; and implements policies and strategies through portfolio construction.

CFP® - CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM

The Financial Planning Standards Council's Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP™) certification is the industry gold standard in financial planning. CFP professionals are the largest identifiable body of licensed financial planners in Canada. In life, it’s important to find a financial planner you trust to provide sound, unbiased advice and professional services. Being CFP® certified means someone has voluntarily taken the extra steps needed to provide the highest possible standard of financial planning to those they serve. To become a Certified Financial Planner™ one must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam, have a minimum of three years’ professional experience in financial planning process and must be approved by the CFP Board, which involves an extensive background check – including an ethics, character and criminal check. To maintain certification, CFP® license holders must complete 30 hours of continuing education accepted by the CFP Board every two years.
