About Michael J. Balawejder

Michael’s career in financial services has spanned more than 34 years. Before joining 3Macs, Michael was an Investment Advisor with another independent brokerage firm, and prior to that, he has held the positions of Branch Manager and Investment Advisor with a major bank. 3Macs became a division of Raymond James Ltd. in October 2016.

With a deep commitment to education, Michael holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto. He has also completed numerous financial services courses. Michael is also fully fluent in Polish.

Investment Philosophy

With years of experience, Michael’s philosophy is to invest conservatively in quality companies with a long-term focus. Understanding that each client has unique needs and goals, Michael employs a thorough discovery process and then tailors an investment plan and portfolio for each client. Through this approach, Michael is able to identify the specific asset allocations required to meet goals while balancing this against the tolerance for risk.

Once the portfolio is in place, Michael constantly monitors all investments and through formal meetings and timely communications ensures clients are informed about specific holdings and the progress of their investments.

Support for the Community

Michael has a strong belief in supporting his community and coached boys’ and girls’ hockey, baseball and soccer teams. He is also an Executive Member of the Knights of Columbus in Mississauga, the former Treasurer and Board Member of the Alzheimer’s’ Society of Peel, and a proud supporter of various other charitable causes.

Michael is married and together with his wife, Grace, enjoys time with their three children. In his spare time, Michael also enjoys travel and a fun round of golf.
