About Wilf Dinnick
Wilf Dinnick has been with MacDougall, MacDougall & MacTier (3Macs) since 1990, and he has worked for more than 50 years in the industry. 3Macs became a division of Raymond James Ltd. in October 2016.
Using his extensive educational and professional experience, Wilf is able to advise his clients strategically and successfully. He began his post-secondary education at St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, earned his degree in Economics from McGill University, attended the Richard Ivey Business School Executive Program and completed the Wharton Business School S.I.A Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, Wilf has spent a great deal of his free time serving various organizations and foundations. These roles include: Board Member of Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston, Board Member of St. Andrew’s College Foundation in Aurora, Board Member of the IDA of Canada (now IIROC), Chairman of the IDA’s Ontario District, Board Member and Chairman of the Writers’ Trust of Canada and Chairman of McGill Alumni of Toronto.
Wilf has also served on the Boards of multiple investment firms, including Wood Gundy, Stuart Investment Management, Gardiner Watson Ltd., Dean Witter Canada, 3Macs, and he is a Founding Partner of McCarthy Securities.
Throughout his education and his years in the financial industry before coming to 3Macs, the key lesson Wilf has learned is the importance of investing in foreign markets. He encourages clients to recognize that Canada makes up only a small percentage of the world equity markets, and that clients can greatly improve their portfolios by investing in markets that are large and thriving. Wilf has so much trust in his investment advice that he owns all the same stocks his clients do.
