Specializing in Asset Allocation, Investment Management and Insurance Planning, he works with clients to design investment and retirement portfolios. Jay offers an array of investment options employing exchange traded funds, stocks and bonds, mutual funds, fixed income, Managed Portfolios and Insurance based solutions. Education and Experience

Jay graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1984 with a degree in Economics. He completed his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1990, CH.F.C. in 1992 and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1997. Jay continually keeps up to date with yearly educational pursuits.

Jay has been IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative with Raymond James in Barrie since 2000. Previously he was an independent Financial Advisor.

Family/Hobbies

Originally from Parry Sound, Jay has resided in Barrie since 1985. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Cindy, a benefits and compensation specialist and their grown children. When Jay is not with clients, he is usually found boating on Georgian Bay, hacking up the golf course or relaxing with grandchildren.

Melodie Couture has been Branch Administrator for Jay at Raymond James since 2004. She previously worked for a variety of investment dealers and insurance companies. Her extensive experience assists all areas of Jay's practice while delivering exceptional customer service.
