Trinity Western University Mentor Program
Mentor Program Overview
Franco Papalia, founder of Cap Wealth Management has been a mentor in the Trinity Western University, located in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, mentor program since 2008 and during this time he has been a mentor to a different student each year.
Meeting about once a month with a mentee, they discuss school, work and life goals. With his over 40 years experience in the financial service industry and his role as a husband and father, Franco brings life experience and knowledge to these meetings. He offers guidance when needed, or can simply be a friend to talk to.
Franco has a passion for helping others today, to produce profound change in the world tomorrow and recalls; “There have been key times in my life, when the belief that others had in me, allowed me to believe in myself”.
The mentor program presents a unique opportunity for Trinity Western business students to meet with and learn from successful, real-world business professionals. Students go through an assessment process and are paired with business professionals based on their personality, strengths, and aspirations. The mentor-mentee pairs then meet several times throughout the year for one-on-one teaching, coaching, and guidance.
Often, these relationships formed within the Mentor Program grow from their student-teacher roots into a peer-to-peer bond that lasts well beyond the end of the school year.
