Family/Hobbies

Originally from the Netherlands, Christiaan currently resides in Ladner, BC where he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their three young children, Ineke, Bas and Willem. Outside of work, Christiaan enjoys playing tennis, squash, soccer and skiing. He can often be found on the beaches of Point Roberts, Washington, and after a sunny day of soaking up the sun and fresh sea air, he enjoys perfecting anything on his smoker.

Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) Designation

The Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) Designation builds the skills and experience we need to serve a more sophisticated financial client or institution. Financial professionals who hold the CIM designation are eligible for registration as a Portfolio Manager in Canada. They have expertise in providing money management services to high-net-worth and institutional clients, and they understand the application of portfolio management in the context of Canadian markets and regulatory requirements. A CIM identifies clients' objectives and constraints; develops appropriate investment policies and strategies, taking into consideration market and economic conditions; and evaluates investment products that represent both traditional and alternative asset classes; and implements policies and strategies through portfolio construction.
