A breadth of services to serve a variety of needs

My Philosophy

My relationship with my clients begins with developing a comprehensive financial plan to achieve their long-term financial goals. As such, I cover the investment, insurance, tax and estate planning aspects of each client’s situation. I design and implement tax-efficient portfolios of stocks, bonds, cash and alternative investments, subject to the client’s goals and risk tolerances. I provide investment advice and manage individual client portfolios either on a fee-based or transaction- based structure.

I strive to serve as my clients’ chief financial advisor, and so will coordinate the activities of existing professional advisors such as tax accountants and estate lawyers. If required, I also tap into my own network of professional advisors.

My investment philosophy is essentially conservative. Operating within each client’s risk profile, an investment portfolio is structured with the goal to achieve long-term growth without undue risk – as a result, both my clients and I sleep soundly at night.

Tax minimization and planning are key components of any financial plan. As part of the overall plan, strategies such as income splitting, prudent use of leverage and family trusts are evaluated.

We monitor each client’s account on an ongoing basis to take advantage of opportunities created by changing circumstances. In addition, each plan is reviewed quarterly and appropriate adjustments are made as required.

I make myself as accessible to clients as possible. All telephone calls are returned promptly either personally or by a member of my staff.

I believe that my best client is one who is fully informed. As a result, I have a strong commitment to client communication through personal meetings, seminars and guest speakers. In addition, I maintain a library of some of the very best books on personal finance available for loan to all of my clients.

Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.
