22/09/2022 – United Way's Help a Neighbour Golf Tournament
In September 2022, Graydon represented our team in the United Way Southern Vancouver Island Golf Tournament at the Victoria Golf Club. As Hole sponsors for the tournament, the rest of the team were on-site at one of the holes playing some games with the golf participants and enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean beyond the golf course. It was a fun day of golf, games, and fundraising for a great cause.

This summer, the Werner Mayburry Wealth Management team is sponsoring the 55+ BC Games in Greater Victoria which will be held from Sept 13th to 17th, 2022. Our team will be the proud sponsor of The Q Center hockey venue for the duration of the Games.
The Games will attract 4,000 participants from all regions of the Province to compete in 30 sports across Greater Victoria, from Orienteering to Equestrian to Triathlon. This is an exciting opportunity for our team to be part of an event that promotes an active lifestyle, making new friends and community spirit.
As part of our involvement with the Games, we will be partnering with the Food Bank to raise funds and food for the community. We hope to see you at one or all of the hockey games to cheer on the athletes and support the local Foodbank.
If you are looking to get involved, the Victoria 2022 Host Society is seeking to attract 1,500 volunteers to help with a variety of services and support such as Registration & Results, Promotions, Protocol, Special Events, Sports and Ceremonies. We encourage anyone who might be interested to volunteer alongside our team to help bring the Games to Victoria.

07/04/2022 – Women in Finance Information Session at University of Victoria
On April 07, 2022 Dee-Ann and her Team hosted an informal and informative ‘Women in Finance’ forum-style event for students at the University of Victoria with the goal of creating an open space for Women to have a discussion about the financial services industry, which is typically male-dominated. The students had the opportunity to hear from the team about what we do at Raymond James, what it takes to be successful in Wealth Management, and how to navigate the industry.
We are grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with so many passionate students and share our experiences with them while hopefully inspiring the next generation of Wealth Managers!
29/08/2021 - Amazing Scavenger Hunt
On Sunday, August 29th, The Werner Mayburry Wealth Management team of Raymond James volunteered at the Amazing Scavenger Hunt: Peninsula Challenge in Sidney, BC.
The scavenger hunt is a challenge where teams must navigate through clues and pick up points by doing challenges on their way to designated locations. Teams were dressed up and got awarded a prize for team spirit, top fundraiser and the best team. At our Raymond James station the teams were challenged to make a limerick. We enjoyed hearing their creations, and are proud to have helped the Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Healthcare foundation raise nearly $15,000.
We look forward to seeing what next year’s challenge will bring!
28/08/2021 - Tour De Cure
Hello everyone,
I wanted to provide a short follow up to my recent Tour de Cure fundraising ride.
I was out this past Saturday (Aug 28) and it was a great day for a ride…sunny and not too hot.
As of today, I have raised $6,210 and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support again this year!
I started my day in Langford on the Galloping Goose trail. I rode into Victoria and at Switch Bridge near Uptown I turned onto Lochside trail and rode out to Sidney.
On the way back into Victoria, I stopped at Harvest Rd for lunch…a really nice little farm to table grill located at Michell’s Farm along the Lochside trail and a very popular stop for cyclists (as you can see from one of my pics).
Once back in Victoria I turned back onto the Galloping Goose trail and rode back out to Langford.
Cancer has affected my life in many ways over the years and I love getting out cycling when I can so this was a wonderful way to combine something I really enjoy doing with a very important cause.
Best memory of this year’s ride was passing by many other cyclists during the day wearing the same Tour de Cure jersey as I was and cheering each other on as we did our rides solo or in small groups.
I can’t wait until next year when we will (hopefully) be able to do the full in person event again over in Vancouver…there is nothing quite like the atmosphere of over 2,000 cyclists riding together for two days J
I’ve attached a few pics from my day….we live in one of the most beautiful places!
