Volunteering at the Scott Mission
On May 29 and May 30, Raymond James team members volunteered their time at the Scott Mission in Toronto. The Mission has been around since 1941, and it employs over 100 dedicated staff in the GTA. Their locations include: 502 Spadina Avenue, the Family Centre in East York, the Collingwood Retreat Centre and the Summer Camp in Caledon.
After taking an introductory tour of the Scott Mission, Raymond James volunteers assisted with meal preparation, serving food and sorting donations to the clothing drive. The staff at the Scott Mission were very grateful for the group's hard work and enthusiasm!

Kingston takes part in RJ Cares Month
During RJ Cares Month, a group of Raymond James associates rallied together with their spouses and kids, and went to work for Almost Home in Kingston. Almost Home is a local charity that provides a comfortable place to stay for families with sick kids in the hospital.
The Kingston RJ Cares team completed the spring cleaning for this very large house. Our team helped clean inside, upstairs, downstairs and outside. From cleaning behind washers and dryers to toy room sanitizing, our volunteers were kept very busy! With 17 people donating their time, the work was done quickly and efficiently.
One group of volunteers took on the important task of working in the kitchen and making snacks for the home. Dozens of cookies and muffins were baked.
Nora Taylor, Financial Advisor, Kingston says, "I was very proud of what we accomplished and very grateful that Almost Home gave us the opportunity to be charitable."

Serving food to those in need at the Ottawa Mission
On May 31, members of the Raymond James Ottawa team visited the Ottawa Mission, and spent the morning assisting staff with food prep, serving and cleaning up. Associates rallied together with their spouses and kids, and went to work for Almost Home in Kingston. Almost Home is a local charity that provides a comfortable place to stay for families with sick kids in the hospital.
"We were blown away on how well this amazing kitchen operated and surprised to hear that they served 1300 meals a day," says Daniel MacInnis, Branch Manager, Ottawa.
The entire team found that this was a very rewarding experience and plans to volunteer for the Ottawa Mission again in the future.
